It looks like the Ed Reed and Bethune-Cookman entanglement is only getting worse. After football great Deion Sanders called Ed Reed himself to try to help out, the B-CU student-athletes and students have even taken to protesting in support of Reed. Despite all of this, Reed's contract was not ratified by Bethune-Cookman, leaving him in limbo and uncertain about what will come next.Reed had high hopes when accepting the position as head coach, and he was even offered the head coaching job at Grambling in the past. But now, it's unclear what the future has in store for him. Despite the university's decision, Reed is still clinging to the hope of a reprieve from Bethune-Cookman that would reinstate him as head coach. Unfortunately, there are still many unanswered questions that need to be addressed by the university's leadership. It will definitely be interesting to see how this situation plays out, and if Bethune-Cookman will grant Ed Reed the reprieve he's hoping for. Stay tuned!
